WHO WE ARE

Hire a Colleague is an Internal Division created with in our Organization in the Year 2009, This is a Team of Senior Programmers who have spent more than 3 years with in My Virtual Worker LLP. Their commitment to work and desire to be self managed and observe the ideal learning curve is unmatched. At the moment we have around 50 Senior Programmers across Technologies like PHP, Dot Net , Java , C# , C and C++. We have recently shifted some Programmers with expertise on Mobile Application Development to this wing. The skill sets on offer are iPhone , Android, S 60 and Blackberry. Since these programmers have been with us for some time now, we now place them carefully on assignments which are complex and challenging and expand over a time span of at least 8 weeks onwards. In simple terms these Programmers work as an extension of your Team where the minimum commitment from both the sides is at least 8 weeks. We took the initiative to create this Wing, since we thought as a Company we must look into over all well being of our Programmers who have proved a point to the Management by exceeding our expectations and ensured reduction in Attrition. These Programmers are paid at least 25 to 30% More than our regular programmers and we think they have earned it.

Hiring Process

If you need a Full Time Resource to work as an extension of your Team with absolute control on his or her activities, then HIRE A COLLEAGUE as an initiative will not let you down. We have tools and technologies in Place which allows you to pre define the expectations you have from you Programmer, Once you have documented it and presented it to our Project Managers, they co ordinate with our Resource Allocation Team and with in 5 Working Days relieve a Senior Programmer which is available to work as “ALL YOURS” “ALL EARS”. We want you to have the same control over your Resource as you have over your in house Programmers, and its important to have the same level of co ordination as well to be able to achieve maximum Productivity. Our Programmers , understand very well the responsibility that comes along by being part of this Special Team and rest assured with in a few of days of working with them, you ll find them more efficient and approachable than your in house worker. We have got such feed back for a Good 60% Programmers who are part of this wing, and this comes directly from our clients who have been dealing with the same resources for more than 3 months.

The Entire Process can be completed in a Week. Please Note, at the moment , these Programmers work with clients where scope of work is Minimum 8 Weeks. As a Rule the bench marked productivity is around 45 Hours Per Week , and Invoices are Generated Weekly. You can track your Programmers activities and accordingly instruct them on a minute by minute basis. If you prefer to define daily task list and hand over to our Project Managers, they ll ensure they get the Job Done in stipulated span on Time.
Hence you can either deal with your Programmer directly or have his Project Manager deal with him for you. The Services of Project Manager are Not Charged, and you just have to pay for the Programmers Time.

We recommend this Wing for Complex and Long Term Programming Assignments with Strict Deadlines, We have enough experience of working under pressure situations and still not crumbling. In fact to tell you the truth, As soon as a New Resource Joins us , His or Her Dream is to be part of this Division. However, we follow stringent qualification criteria and irrespective of how much experience the resource has , unless he or she has spent 3 years with us , we don’t allow them to become part of this Division.

The Process here is more suitable for ISVs, That means you can define monthly productivity and skill set for the resource in question, and just pay for Programmers Time and Not Per Project Basis. If you have Work , ongoing, I suggest, document, how much of it can be done if you were to hire some one in house , on site , Naturally when you hire some one in house you have some pre defined milestones set for your New Employee and you would expect him or her to meet those requirements, Same is the Case with Hire a Colleague except for the fact that they are not available on site. We need clarification on 3 things really
